Waterford County Council has today (Friday 18th December, 2016) been granted planning for a new 5MW solar farm in Kilcannon, Co. Waterford. The permission has been granted to Amarenco Solar.

“The application approval by Waterford County Council is the first of a significant number of applications being prepared by Amarenco Solar for Ireland,” said John Mullins, CEO, Amarenco Solar. “Overall we intend to apply for thirty five solar farms in Ireland. Presently, the company is awaiting the approval of Cork County Council for six facilities it has applied for in the county.
